Way too much to describe about State Street. Numerous shps and restaurants there. And, how many places can you visit where the line dividing two states runs right down the middle of the main street in town? Virginia on one side and Tennessee just a crosswalk away.

You can walk the whole thing in 10 minutes. Usual type of downtown businesses: antique stores, a boutique, several bars. Paramount theatre is worth seeing. Concerts and plays - not cinema. Lovely.

Just returned from the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Festival in Bristol VA/TN. What a wonderful event. Well planned and very reasonable. Tickets for the entire weekend are $40 and you see over 100 acts.
