The views on the ride were breathtaking and we saw so much wildlife, it was fantastic. The ponies are beautiful and so fascinating I could've stayed all day. Our guide was very knowledgeable, he knew everything about the island! I loved everything about this cruise and will take it again on my trip next year. There's many different cruises you... More

5/24/2011 - we just experienced Daisey's Dockside Nature Cruise today. Our tour guide was Tom and he was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the local and surrounding areas. We saw dolphins, osprey, and Chincoteague's ponies. Dolphins happened to show up on the first part of the cruise. We saw three dolphins - include a calf! The Chincoteague ponies are... More

This was our first trip to Chincoteague and we thought a guided boat tour would be a great way for us to explore and learn about Chincoteague and Assateague. Daisey’s Dockside did not disappoint. Captain Tom was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the islands. His tour not only highlighted the famous ponies and local landmarks, but also just the... More

I agree with everyone else's glowing reviews of "Daisey's Dockside Nature Cruise". My husband and I took a tour at the end of April and loved it. Our guide Tom was thoughtful, knowledgeable and engaging. We took an early morning tour so it was a bit chilly but Daisey's had quilts onboard to keep us warm and happy. Tom knew... More

We really enjoyed our cruise with Captain Daisy and his first mate Bailey (the dog!). I made reservations before we left for Chincoteague and I would suggest that everyone do so. The boat only carries 6 people, very comfortably, so space is limited. Captain Daisy knows tons of facts about the area and loves to share them with his passengers.... More

We have visited Chincoteague Island for many years, looking at the water from the land, but decided that looking at the land from the water would give a different perspective. Scanning the names of the tours available, it seemed that anyone with the name "Daisey" would be a knowledgable guide, since that family has been here for 200 years. It... More

I had a lot of fun with Daisey's Nature Cruise. Our guide, Ted, is very knowledgeable about the island and its history. The boat is spacious and the seat is very comfy. We saw different species of birds and a view of the famous lighthouse on Assateague Island. We even had a chance to see some ponies, each of them... More

Our nature cruise with Capt. Tom Daisey was the highlight of our visit to Chincoteague/Assateague. The cruise was so interesting, seeing herds of ponies close-up, many birds, the lighthouse. Capt Tom Daisey was very personable, and shared much knowledge about the island, its history, the changing shorelines, the ponies and their care, the local aquaculture. We were joined on the... More

Ted was our tour guide and he had the answers to everything. We got to see two Osprey, one was just returning to its nest with a stick - very cool and very good photo op. Also lots of ponies near the water. Ted brought us to a dock where they farm clams and oysters and explained the whole process,... More

We had an excellent time on this nature cruise. It was 4 adults and our 22 month old son on the trip and couldn't have asked for more. We saw about 2 dozen ponies and the famous Surfer Dude and his son Riptide. Capt Tom let our son drive the boat some which was very exciting for him. We stopped... More
