We were given a tour that started at the visitor's center at VMI. An outstanding cadet was our guide. Highly recommend this.

There's a lot to see at VMI: the George C. Marshall Museum, the VMI Museum, the Jackson Memorial, and countless statues and buildings. We didn't have much time, so flew through the museums. Awesome spot to learn some history and realize what great young people there are who will help lead our country in the future. Watch a parade and feel your heart swell with pride in America!

steeped in history, the "Institute" is well worth the trip. Parking is limited, we walked from town.

Seeing all the soldiers, being greeted in such a gentlemanly manner, DH loved all the guns in the museum.

We were fortunate to take our son to a VMI open house. How impressive!!!! From the honor code, academics, professors, and military perspective this school has a lot to offer a young man or woman. You come out of a visit with such a high respect for these kids and those who serve our country. Absolutely beautiful campus but the... More

The campus is large and interesting, but we spent most of our time at the chapel/museum. The chapel is above and the museum below. There is also a memorial wall outside the museum. We saw some of the best artworks at this museum depicting civil war life. Of course most people are most impressed that they have George Patton's cadet... More
