This is a must-see when stopping in Lexington, VA. Located on the campus of Washington and Lee University, the chapel and museum is an informative and moving tribute to Robert E. Lee and his legacy. more
We were past visiting hours, so we didn't make it into the chapel proper this time, but we saw where General Lee's horse (Traveler) is buried outside of the chapel. Helpful signs and convenient parking. more
This is a definite "must see" if you are a history buff. The chapel is located on the Washington & Lee University campus with free parking nearby. Call ahead to find out if it is open as they do hold seminars, weddings, etc. at this place. Also, you enter through the upper chapel doors and are greeted by an interpretor... more
