My hubby and I take the Harley for a ride down the Blue Ridge every spring and fall and Mabry Mill is always a must. It's not a very big place but it is nicely landscaped and is a pleasant place to take a break and have a picnic. If you are lucky enough to be there on a nice... More

Once a year me and my family take a day trip from Roanoke area down the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway to eat the fabulous buckwheat pancake breakfast. Afterward, we enjoy strolling the grounds and touring the mill. There's not a lot to do, but it's a great stop. We also drive the short distance to Meadows of Dan and enjoy... More

We walked around in the rain and looked at the exhibits even though the mill was closed. We would like to go again when it is open to see the inside of the buildings.

It's free, photogenic, educational, and scenic. What more could you want? This is a case where you don't mind seeing your tax money at work!

I've driven past the mill a number of times on Blue Ridge Parkway trips. We had Sunday morning breakfast sandwiched between the locals back from church and travelers. Fantastic pancakes and great company. Highly recommended. If the parking lot is full, visit the mill and talk to the rangers while you wait for your meal.

Though the inside area of the mill was closed and the wheel and displays were not open yet, we still enjoyed the walk around the property. Seeing all the old building and just reading the display markers were nice - got some great photos of the mill!

Beautiful scenery, nice to see how things were in earlier times. Love to visit when they're having bluegrass music and dancing.

It was a nice easy walk and we enjoyed the mill, we were early in the season so nothing was open, but we still enjoyed it.

Stopped and the mill is very pretty and the walk around the buildings were nice, but I was disappointed with the nice weather that everything wasnt open. I understand with cuts in budgets but not even a restroom? Sorta took away from the fun when you need the facilities.
