We wanted to see the volcano crater lake at Laguna de Apoyo and wanted some place close to Granada. Going horseback riding at Volcano Ranch was great way to get both. It is a place on top of the rim of crater so it is cool and you can see forever and there is no trash or other tourists there....

We were staying in Granada and wanted to see Lake Apoyo. The Hotel Alhambra set it up for us. We found a horseback ranch located right on the rim of the crater of Lake Apoyo. There was no other tourists so we had the place all to ourselves, the property was clean, the staff were really friendly and the guides...
