Quinta do Panascal dates back to the 18th century and is the most important estate of the prestigious Port Wine Company “Fonseca Guimaraens”. The estate has been classified as Grade A, which is the highest grade given to a quinta. The same occurs with its famous wines, namely Fonseca Vintage 1994 which was recognized by the Wine Spectator Magazine as one of the best wines in the world.Situated in the Douro Valley Region (a World Heritage site), Quinta do Panascal is open to everyone wishing to visit one of the most famous quintas in the region.

We had a wonderful experience in this beautiful corner of the Douro Valley. We had the opportunity to taste for free two glasses of excelent Port wine and we had an interesting chat with the staff, very prepared and friendly. We had not the chance to complete the full experience because it was too hot to walk in the vineyards!...

The mp3 tour allows you to explore the vineyards at your own pace and is very interesting. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and the ports are superb. And the views are amazing. Do not try to hike in this area though (it is quite perilous) as there are no trails and the roads are very narrow and people...
