I can't better the extremely comprehensive review above, but wanted to add that the house has a beautiful garden which you can wander around. The peaceful atmosphere and attractive surroundings make it a good place for thinking and reflecting - no doubt this is partly why Robert Graves chose to live there. more
The house that Robert Graves built in 1932, a five minute walk from the village of Deia, is now a museum. Once you have paid the entrance fee you still feel a bit like a trespasser. With the original furniture and pictures on the walls, letters and personal documentation on the desks, as well as his books on the shelves... more
