My partner, two year old son and I have just visited Wheelgate Park and were thoroughly enjoying the experience (even in the rain - it is a Bank Holiday!) However, only half an hour in our son's tummy decided to play up (I'll spare the details) and we had to leave quite quickly. On the off chance as we left,... More

I went last week with my four year old, and we had such a great time, we bought a years pass (only £35 each) as they then knocked off the admission fee we paid for that day. Just got back from our second visit there and have to say, I am amazed no one ever told me about this little... More

I took my 3 kids (5 years, 3 years and 4 months) to this park on a cold, sometimes rainy day and we had a fantastic time. We were there from 10 till 4 and only managed to see about two thirds of what was there. Most of the rides were perfect for these ages, they particularly loved the bumpy... More

Great value for money! Fun for adults as well as kids as they can go on the indoor play equipment. Staff friendly and approachable. Only negative comment is the lack of choice of food and drink (take a picnic)

Took my 15 month old & 10 year old and there was plenty to keep them occupied. It was early spring and quite cold, but the balance of indoor and outdoor activities ensured this was not an issue. Recommend the falconry and the butterfly display. We have also visited the Twin Lakes sister park and are now considering an annual... More

Had a nice day out here but felt it was quite tatty and not as much to do as it's sister park Twinlakes at Melton Mowbray. Probably won't go back unless they get some more attractions and repair the rides and games they already have- will be going to Twinlakes instead.

This was our second visit to the park and i'm pleased to say we enjoyed it as much as the first. We were lucky and picked a sunny and so were able to enjoy all the attractions (except one which was closed, much to the disappointment of my 7 year old.). Though i would say approximately half the rides are... More

Although the postal address is "Newark", Wheelgate Park is actually in Farnsfield - some 16 miles away. Actually its nearer to Mansfield, the Minster town of Southwell and about 14 miles from Nottingham on the A.614 northwards. Good bus services from Nottingham, Mansfield, Worksop, Southwell and Newark by Stagecoach. Centre Parcs and the Major Oak some 6/10 miles away both... More

We went to Wheelgate Park in Feb half term, it was excellent value for money because the winter rates were being charged and if you booked on-line you saved another 10%. I think we paid £6.75 each, and you didn't have to worry about printing off tickets you just gave a reference number in to reception and they had a... More
