Viewed at night from the city, the 88-foot tall lighted star atop Mill Mountain is actually quite proportionate and attractive. We drove up the route for the beautiful view of the valley promised in the tour book. The view is beautiful indeed, but we couldn't stay more than a minute to enjoy it because of the rude smokers and the...

I worked and liked it very much, I liked being the train engineer there, they have great animals, this zoo is in the best area, on top of a mountain, great views from the top of the Roanoke Valley.

This was an ok stop, but wouldn't go out of my way for it. The star is quite visible at night when lit and it really makes you want to see it's location.
