My buddies and I played there last spring and I really don't remember ever having a more enjoyable experience playing golf. The fairways rolled true and the greens were very fair. The last time I said a golf course exceeded expectations was after carding a career low for my first round on the Black course at Bethpage. The gold course at the Golden Horseshoe was simply spectacular in its conditioning, design and staffing. I had the chance to play the Gold Course on a damp, cold day in late February, 2004. I can't recall ever having enjoyed a golf course more. Played both Gold and Green courses as part of 40th Anniv. golf package. What a great deal (esp. compared w/ typical daily greens fees)! Staff at both courses extremely friendly. Gold course is set right in heart of town. Tigh layout, not overly long, but must be on target. Great par 3s, all with water. Challenging to say the least.... more
