This time of the year the chairlifts are dormant and snowshoeing along the groomed trail is excellent. The snow conditions were excellent. With very few people you have the mountain almost to yourself. People dot the landscape as they sit atop a "bump" or hill and take in the view once you snowshoe 1.5 miles from the parking lot. We... The views at this ski on a clear day area are nothing short of spectacular! Generally there is a great amount of snow in the Winter. It, however varies in quality through out the ski season. The area is also very spectacular, scenicly ,and for hiking in late Summer.

Whatever you do - don't go to Baker. No snow at all. Focus your efforts on someplace in maybe Michigan or Virginia.

This little mountain has the most snow in North America! It is a wel run ski area with lots of variety. the only bad thing is that there is no 'on-mountain' accommodations.

Great place to ski, but we also love to go up to Mt. Baker when the trails open up for hiking. There is usually still snow on the ground...just beautiful, yet so close to home.

Super amount of snow and excellent terrain for all types of skiers. Brand new midmt. lodge that has good food too. The scenery is to die for. Off piste is amazing as long as avalance danger is minimal.

I've skied here all my life. $3.50 a day when I was a kid. I taught up here when I was at university...For $44.50 a day(senior) and $12 for a cheeseburger, fries and a pop, this is a great mountain. The lifts are regular quads--the forest service won't let them put in high speed lifts--but you won't wait more than... More

We really enjoyed that the mountain was a little smaller and quaint! Lots of fresh powder! Reasonable rental rates and nice staff!

Because there are no high rent condos or hotels to rent at the bottom of the slopes or 4 star restuarants, I guess this doesn't qualify as a ski "resort" and isn't listed on many ski destination search sites. Their loss. I think this ski area is the perfect size and a great value compared to all the other mid... More

Mt. Baker always gets more snow then other local ski resorts, kinda of a pain to drive to though.
