We visited the museum more on my initiative than my wife's, but she probably enjoyed it even more than I did. They had a fascinating room on wool and weaving and knitting that she especially enjoyed. They have many artifacts and photographs that we both enjoyed exploring. Well worth the time and moderate expense.

after going through the whole museum and enjoying many finds, i discovered my great great grandmother's sewing machine. Why wouldn't I love this place? They also have a calendar of interesting events throughout the year not to miss. They don't forget that the history predates just European settlement.

Pretty impressive collection for a small town museum. Worth the $4 admission and great view of the valley from auditorium deck. Note the carved granite tugboat and Indian canoe sculptures across the parking lot.

It was quilt festival weekend and we needed to escape the crowds. We found the Historical Museum an oasis of calm and very interesting. It is at the top of a hill so you might need stamina or a car.
