About
Traditional Family run Gardens, Tea Room & Large Plant Nursery. This is a must for the keen gardener and wildlife lover. The Gardens are set beyond the Nursery and once walking through the walled archway the magic begins. The gardens are set around a tranquil pool with island pathways and wooden bridges leading to various features. This Monet-style landscape has a wealth of moisture-loving plants, including iris and primulas. Drier areas feature unusual perennials and rarer trees and shrubs. Woodland paths meander through shade and bog plantings with views across the pool to the cottage gardens. Outdoor Theatres and Weddings are also held here throughout the season. Also ideal for Cyclists and dog walkers as very close to the Delamere Loop and Sandstone Trail. Ladies Afternoon Teas, Group Tours and Workshops are also held throughout the season. Open March to October. Out of Season bookings taken for special events and groups. See our Website for more details on upcoming events.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went along to enjoy a nice cup of tea and enjoy the lunchtime snacks advertised on the website. Unfortunately, they no longer do snacks only tea and cake. Pity the website hasn't been updated to say that and save people a journey.

Stoneyford Cottage Gardens is a magical place which gets better and better over the years….sadly we arrived at 3.0 pm, too late for lunch coffee and cake on the shady, spacious lawn felt very special. And a wander round the garden was so tranquil and inspiring.

Fabulous gardens to walk around and full of beautiful flowers with benches nicely positioned to sit, relax and enjoy the garden. The nursery was well stocked with interesting varieties and the owners are so helpful and knowledgeable. We finished off a perfect sunny afternoon with a lovely coffee and cake in the tearoom, well worth a visit.

They accommodated a large family tea party in the cafe garden in a most friendly and helpful way. It is a lovely place. I would like to go back and explore properly another time.

Quirky, interesting gardens. Well worth a walk round. Flat paths.
Attached plant nursery with an amazing range of plants not usually seen in a commercial garden centre. The owners have a fantastic knowledge of these plants and would highly recommend budding gardeners and those who want something different to visit and speak to owners. It was a pleasure to see non commercial perennials.

This was a brilliant garden with beautiful planting and water areas. A lovely experience and easy to walk through. They have left a boggy wooded area to show what they had to develop. Amazing how they have transformed it. The outdoor cafe area was excellent with well priced food. The shop also was great value and we all came away with plants and other garden ornaments

Visited today very nice relaxing gardens and nice little garden centre with lots of old fashioned cottage garden plants and garden ornaments, the gardens were nice to walk round left quite wild probably to attract insects, bees etc. We had a late and and americano coffee from the tea room which was a little disappointing as they were both weak and watery especially the latte which should have been milky, otherwise very nice friendly staff and a nice day.
