Methow valley is such a unique area. The cross country trails are unparalleled. There are several towns/areas to explore, including Twisp, Winthrop and Mazama. We like starting with the Sun Mountain trails which are more challenging, and ending the vacation with the mostly flat but scenic Mazama trails.

This is hands down one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been!!!

This area is completely excellent for cross country skiing. Great snow, not too many people, good services, nice people. We come here in the summer too. The climate is ideal in summer and in winter.

There is very easy access to perfectly groomed runs for skate skiing or classic cross country and best of all, it is possible to find dog friendly groomed trails as well.
