This is a great place to stop while traveling or if you are staying/sightseeing in the Beckley area. The food is handled by The Greenbrier- with culinary school trained chefs that use local fare and make typical WV/Southern dishes with an upscale flair, such as fried green tomatoes, fresh trout, and cobbler. Always a great place to stop for a healthy lunch or dinner while traveling. The line can sometimes get long. (It's a buffet) - BUT, I feel that it is worth it to avoid eating fast food. more

Tamarack is more-or-less a store full of WV-made crafts and foods. There are also some artists who have studios in the building - you can watch them in their studios. And there is a food court. The crafts are cool, but most are pretty pricey. A nice stop if you are in the area. If it had been closer to... more

I had lunch today at Tamarack in Beckley - and it was great! The perfect place for stopping on the road, and worth visiting even if not dining there. I had trout, green beans, and mashed potatoes - and great key lime pie. It's off Exit 45 - near the hotels. Also features WV made handcrafts - really nice -... more
