The reviews here get it right. No frills, but an enjoyable place. We visited the Roman baths on a quiet September weekday and enjoyed it. No frills, but very relaxing. more

Forget the massage/bath house (a separate building) and head over to the historic Roman Bath House. You can fit four in each private tub. No frills for sure. But you feel great after soaking in those healing mineral waters. And it's a good buy - we paid $30 for a half hour for two. Yes, it gets hot. Sometimes the... more

Ever wonder what it might have been like to bathe with Jack Nicholson in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"? Well, you've got the image of our local Berkeley Spring State Park, which offers the ambience of a state mental hospital, circa 1958. I first came to Berkeley Springs as a child in 1962. I can tell you the place... more

For my husbands' birthday, we rented a cabin and stayed the weekend in Berkeley Springs, WV. Our first stop was a soak in the "roman baths" at the state park. I strongly recommend reservations, especially on the weekend, since after checking-in they appeared all booked up. Even though I read the baths were separated by sex, my husband & I... more

I knew going in to this shower/massage treatment that it would be no frills. The almost hour long treatment was only costing me $45, and I'd read other reviews that said it wasn't fancy but was still enjoyable. After disrobing and wrapping myself in a towel that was about the size of a bath mat, I was shown to my... more

the state park is really cool, small but really nice to wade in or soak your feet. Ok now onto the massage and bath. The bath was very nice. Really hot water in my chamber, and I soaked for like 15 or 20 min. You sit in the chamber solo and there are railings around the chamber that you can... more

First time visitor to Berkeley Springs State Park in March 08. I have to agree with previous reviewers here - and give it a thumbs up! Also agree that if you typically like expensive, chi-chi type spa facilities this may not be for you - but do consider trying it anyway. I think you will find it leaves you feeling... more

Berkeley Springs is one of my favorite places to go to. I like to go at least 3 times a year. I especially like going in the fall when the tree the colors are peak. The town looks quaint at Christmas too! The hot springs are relaxing and not expensive at all. I like to go for a 1/2 hour... more

We have been frequenting this facility for nearly ten years and always enjoy either an afternoon or morning of relaxing pleasure. Do not expect luxury or beauty here. Rather, close your eyes and listen to the fans hum while you soak in a hot bath of spring water. The place oozes with character and you can set yourself in the... more

A state park right in the very small town of Berkeley Springs, WV, which is comprised of a hot spring and bath house, both open to the public. Professional massage, etc., but in a completely no frills setting. The bath house is like an old gym: safe, clean, but totally institutional. Berkeley Springs itself (the town) is poor and not... more
