Worth your time to go in and have a look around. West Virginia is a land of proud, independent people and this museum does a nice job reflecting this.

Can't beat a free museum, and this offers a terrific history of the state. There's so much more than coal and country music to WV, and you'll learn a lot

So much to see and learn. You need to take all day or maybe even two days.

The museum had new updates from my previous trip,but was dark in places and kind of like a maze that scared the kids a bit because of the dark.

I've visited many state capitols, but WV has one of the most impressive. The architecture is unrivaled today and it sits alongside an excellent cultural center and museum.

They have done a wonderful job creating this state museum. Entertaining for kids as well as informative for adults. Give yourself a good two hours or more and you still won't see all it has to offer.

Years and millions of dollars in the making, the brand new museum in its old place at the Cultural Center next to the state capitol building is absolutely wonderful. not very busy when we visited, was nice and quiet, made for enjoyable day

Beautiful and newly remodeled. Something for everyone in the family and free.
