If you are into history or you enjoy seeing what life was like for the Wisconsin pioneers, Old World Wisconsin is a neat tour. Lot's of school classes come to see Old World and we have also done the holiday tour. We did that at night with lanterns and it was terrific.

Great day trip! They sometimes have fish fry's that are also awesome. You walk thru history. The guides stay in their areas, dress in period costume, and show you what life was like and that you can live without electricity, androids, and Starbucks.

You can... More

This is a place that you need to go at least once as it is different and unique-there is also a shooting range nearby as well.

Experience what life used to be like in Wisconsin. Hands on! I totally enjoyed this field trip with my daughter, many years ago.

Created to coincide with the nation's bicentennial, Old World Wisconsin brings together 19th century (primarily) frontier structures representative of specific ethnic groups from all over Wisconsin. They've been organized into small settlement areas with relatively short (1/8 mile or so) walks along gravel roads or trails through the woodlands between them. These are not just homes but barns and a... More

This was our fourth trip, the second time for Fall on the Farm. This year we had our three granddaughters with us - ages 7, 9 and 12. They really enjoyed themselves- they used an apple peeler, shelled beans, made rope, thrashed flax and petted the oxen. I was disappointed they missed the butchering of the pig, but they saw... More
