We visited all of the wineries in Door County this weekend and had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. When comparing this winery to the others, I would say Stones Throw Winery was a higher end establishment. Their wines were pricier, and they did charge $5 for a tasting, which included a wine glass with their emblem engraved on it. We had... More

We have become wine snobs. This was not our intention, however, we know what we like and do not. The wine tasting room felt like we were back in Napa or Italy. The owner, Russell came in just before we were leaving. What a fun visit! We joined the wine club and have been very pleased with the quality the... More

Very nice winery. They import all their grapes from Cali but it is high class place to visit

Exploring Egg Harbor and Door County off season takes some patience. It's so much slower, laid back, closed restaurant locations, BUT, finding Stone's Throw Winery OPEN, INTERESTED, and delicious, made it all worthwhile. The actual winery feels like you are in Napa, great building, cool lighting, and best of all, a highly skilled wine assistant! From throwing her curve ball... More

More for the upscale people. It wasn't that friendly to the average person. It was just your basic winery.

We like trying the new wines they put out. The dessert wine is out of this world and the shopping atmoshpere is unique too.

The wines here are pretty good. Sure you can always find better. If anything they may be a bit overpriced for what they are. But transport grapes from Calif is likely the contributor. shipping shelf stable wine bottles has to be cheaper than fresh fruit. Nevertheless we applaud the Turco's for sharing their dream with us and giving us a... More

My wife and I visited Stone's Throw on a short getaway during the holidays. I can't believe that this winery is in Wisconsin. They are making some really nice wines. We have been to Napa and Sonoma many times and this is just as good or better of an experience. I loved the cabernets and the sangiovese. The staff was... More

I have been coming to Stone Throw's Winery since I was a seedling. Every year we would make our trip to Door County and Stone Throw's Winery was one stop on our great adventure. Even when I young, and I mean not of a legal drinking age young, I was always treated kindly. My brother and I were offered water... More

The winery is in an old barn with a thick exposed stone wall and very modern otherwise. It's neat. For $5 you get to taste 4 wines and keep the souvenir glass. Unlike other wineries, there is not a container or water pitcher to rinse the glass and dump before trying another wine. We enjoyed our visit there and bought... More
