Peninsula State Park is one of the most peaceful we've visited. It's small enough that you can take it all in, but big enough that you don't feel crowded. The tree covered roads make it a beautiful and smooth tour on a "Segway" (the self-balancing battery powered two-wheeled people movers). Peninsula Park was a great place for camping. We ended up with a nice wooded camp spot that was fairly private. There are great hiking trails within the park and small communities nearby. Its central location within Door County made it a good place for a basecamp. more

My husband and wanted to visit the park while in Door County and decided to rent bikes from the nearby Nor Door Bike Shop--an absolute must! This State Park is ideal for the hiker, it as fantastic views of the Bay of Green Bay & the Peninsula of Upper Michigan. Lots of camp grounds & sites, reasonable pricing also. Well worth a visit. more
