Big Foot Beach State Park was a great place to stay for a fun weekend this summer. When we arrived Mary and Curtis Jackson gave us neon colored chip clips that really came in handy. The rustic camping is the best option for a tent, we had to carry all our stuff across a couple of camp sites but we... more

I just stayed there for one night with my wife and 3 year old because it was the only place available from last minute planning. We were worried after seeing the bad reviews. The lake was very nice although the small beach area was packed. From the back of the camping area the beach was about a 10-15 minute walk.... more

Spent friday evening through Sunday afternoon at the park. The first night it rained from 3 am to 6:30 with heavy thunder and lightning. Only slept 2 hours. Kids as well as myself were a bit nervous, but the tents held out. Next morning after lunch we went jet skiing on the lake, very exciting. Spent all day at the... more

I stayed at the campsites over the weekend and they were very nice. I thought they were a little crowed but what do you expect they are in the middle of a city. The beach was small but when i asked they told me the road got widend they can't control that. The park was very clean also. I was... more

I feel compelled to give Bigfoot Beach State Park a neutral review after seeing all negative posts. I camped there with my wife and kids (8 and 7 year olds) the weekend of June 6, 2008. The first thing you notice when entering the park are the numerous "alcoholic beverages prohibited" signs. I assume based upon some of the other... more

We have been camping at Big Foot at least once a year as it is close to our home, but every time we experiance something bad. Last time we were complaining about some people who were so annoying and disturbing, the park rangers they did not do anything about it, but yet they will fine you $178 for playing music... more

Big Foot Beach was one of the worst campgrounds I have been too. It was very open with little privacy (it felt like I was camping on someone's lawn) and it is right next to a race track. We were there over Labor Day weekend when races were going on and it was incredibly loud and bright from the racetrack... more

My fiance and I camped here with another couple this past weekend (6/23 - 6/25). The park is clean, as it should be, but the washrooms are in terrible condition. Feces lined the seats and walls while pools of urine were found on the floor. The flush toilets located near the front of the park were in better condition which... more

We camped at this park a couple of years ago, will never do that again. The park is very small, that's okay, but when we drove into the campground we had reserved a site in the back for privacy. Unknown to us, at the very back of the campground is a gate that's open 24 hours to the street outside... more

Back in the day this was a great place. Currently the bathrooms are run down and dirty. We took our son there for fishing and day in the park but we left long before dark as the park was over run with people playing loud irratating music in another language. A second trip there later that year found the same... more
