This place is pretty neat if you like plants. My kids were bored but I thought it was a neat thing to see at least once. more

I love going to The Domes (what you call it in Milwaukee). I would definietly bring my camera. This place gives amazing pictures. I wish I could show you some that I took, but I just don't have the time to do it. I'll try later. Back to the subject. There are 3 domes, a tropical forest dome (my favorite),... more

Absolutely loved the domes. We visited in March and they had an exhibit of Lego art which was fascinating for the kids. There was a huge crowd on a Saturday afternoon so I'd suggest trying a weekday if possible. Well worth the $5. more

I've been visiting the Domes since they were built when I was a kid. They're still enjoyable, especially in the cold WI winter. There's nothing like a walk through the Desert Dome or Rainforest when it's below zero outside. The last dome changes seasonally. Now they even have some evening events where they light up the domes and have music.... more

Only expect to spend about an hour here, great to kill some time while waiting for something else. The only downside I had was that they were so short ~20minutes a dome. Tropical Dome is by far my favorite with it's heat and nice level of humidity. Arid Dome is a bit disappointing, I was expecting a dry heat and... more

Growing up and now I never tire of this place. The three unique domes house tropical, arid and garden areas within them. It's a peaceful and enjoyable walk. The place is great for taking pictures and relaxing. You don't need long here a couple hrs. at most or less unless you're a diehard photographer. There are many birds throughout which... more

I used to go to "The Domes" as a school child and enjoyed that - compared to a day in school, that is. That's how I feel about it now - maybe compared to doing laundry or vacuuming......not that fun. more

Spending a few hours at the Domes is a great way to enjoy the "outdoors" and get some fresh air at any time of year. We enjoyed walking through the tropical gardens and the desert and smelling the scents and just relaxing. The exhibition dome had the most beautiful model train displays running through gardens in 'toontown" with all our... more

The buildings are cool looking from the exterior and the interior is beautiful. Our favorite room was the "Secret Garden"... beautiful with tons of seasonal flowers. In the other two domes (the Tropic and Desert) there were lots of signs and information for you to read about the plants. My boyfriend and I wandered slowly through and even spent some... more
