Most winerys that you go to in Door County have free wine tasting. You hover around a counter and pick off of a list and get a few samples. At Red Oaks, you pay $5 for 7 samples of wine. The sample is more then a "sample." The winery itself is very beautiful. You go in, sit at the wine... more
Wines were excellent - Riesling was superb. Building is beautiful, service excellent and, overall, a memorable experience. We visited 4 wineries that day and Red Oak stands a cut above. more

I'm a Door County regular and I've had very good experiences over the years at the local wineries. This one was VERY disappointing - the wines we sampled were AWFUL. We didn't think any of them were even okay. The building you can visit is beautiful - granite bar, large windows, lovely colors - and the staff is very friendly... more
