Visisted the morning of July 27, 2009, on our way out of town. Drove the entire road, but nothing was within our sights, even with binoculars. Thought we would see at least something, but we had seen enough wildlife in Yellowstone, so it didn't really matter. more
A great opportunity to be close to the elk at the National Refuge. The trip entails an approximately 1 hr sleigh ridge (pulled by beautiful horses) at the refuge observing the elk (and whatever critters might be hanging around - coyote, bison, eagles). Nice sleigh ride. Great educational experience. Our guide Steve was knew what he was talking about, was humorous and obviously cared about the animals in the refuge. Younger children would really enjoy. more
