Last winter, I skied at Jackson Hole for the first time - because it has the highest vertical of the United States ski resorts. I've previously skied at Kicking Horse Mountain in British Columbia which has a similar vertical. (Btw - highly recommend kicking horse, my favorite ski resort ever. ) I went up to Jackson HOle 'cause the snow... more

We just returned from J ckson Hole in february 2008 and LOVED it..The skiing was magical ..Yes the mountain is difficult but just make sure to get in shape or do lots of skiing before going. We stayed at the SnowKing resort, the rooms were rustique but OK.The people were very friendly and hospitable..The only downfall is the shuttle run... more

I'm a little bit biased because I live here and get to ski Jackson Hole Mountain Resort most weekends. However, my family does not live here and came to visit this past week. Although we all love to ski, we're all very different ability levels, from my brother's girlfriend who is a beginner to my brother who is boarderline expert.... more

Just back from JHole out of Philly with 4 other 50 yr old guys. Took complaints from home only on voicemail-responded late with claims of bad reception. Stayed at a private cabin found on VRBO.com for 7 nights within 3 miles of slopes. Bought 4 of 6 lift tix at JHole which gave us a chance to snowmobile and hit... more

This was our third visit to JHMR, and we will definately return - next to Big Sky/Moonlight Basin, it's our favorite ski destination. To correct one of the other JHMR reviews, there are actually 3 places to eat on the mountain - Casper Lodge, Bridger Gondola Pizza, and Corbet's Cabin, on the top of Rendezvous Mountain, accesible via the tram.... more

This is a great hill with one exception -- the food on the hill. There is really only one place to eat, the Casper Lodge. It is too small to handle the number of people eating lunch and the menu is from the 60s -- hamburgers, chilli and greasy fries. For spring skiers, you end up skiing to the bottom... more

Did first time skiing here and it was a great experience. First, the area is absolutely pristine. The prices are a little high for one day, but the multi-day passes are moderate in price and convenient. All the staff are very knowledgable and extremely friendly and helpful.
