Easy to get to from Laramie and so very much worth it. We went in August and the only set back was some weak thunderstorms and lightning. The public toilets were a bit........ dodgy. Bring some tissues or a toilet roll with you. And maybe a flashlight.... If I recall correctly there is a standard driving route to go along... More

We hiked up to one of the glacial lakes. It was beautiful the entire way! Lovely views of Brooklyn Lake on the way up. Peaceful and wonderful. If we ever get to go back to Wyoming, I will definitely make it a point to visit Medicine Bow and the Snowies again!

It's a lot less known (and therefore, less crowded) than some other places, but it's definitely worth spending a day in if you... More

Upon entering the forest the views don't seem that remarkable, but once you get to Lake Marie you will realize the beauty of this preserve. The huge boulders that look like a river of rock, the peak of Medicine Bow Mountain, the clear waters of the lake...magnificent. The hiking trails bring you to several secluded wonderlands, and the campgrounds are... More
