My husband used to love it here as a kid and so it was on our to do list for my first visit to Thermopolis. It was crowded, dirty, smelly, and a sanitary disaster. Our family friends swear that anytime they went, they would end up sick. We enjoyed ourselves, but I don't think I could ever go there again.... More

I myself grew up in Wyoming and have been to the Star Plunge many times over the years. A previous poster stated that the star plunge smells horrible and they dont use clorine. The mineral water used at the Star Plunge and throughout the whole of hot springs state park contains over 27 minerals. It does have a strong sulfery... More

If you're interested in geology at all, you HAVE to visit. Thermopolis has the world's largest natural hot springs and this is your opportunity to bask in it... literally. They have an outdoor and indoor pool, complete with slides. The only bad thing is place totally smells like sulfur and it causes some people to have negative effects digestively if... More

If you like a real hot tub, jump (oops, climb in slowly!) into the lobster pot. And play with the kids in the hot pools, inside and out. We always have loved this place, and now are starting in with the grandkid, and it is alwas fun. Little guys don't shiver, and relax and enjoy the entire place. They get... More

Has multiple water slides, some are only open during the summer. Can be very croweded but is very up to date. Inside and outside pools only a small hot tub for outside. Also has diving boards outside

Was closed on Saturday and Sunday 12/10-12/11 Last time we were there - the management open complained that 'they're out of water'... Funny, Hellies Tee-Pee isn't out of Water, nor is the Days-Inn.... We had a marvelous time at the Days Inn, Hellies Tee-Pee...yes, all the facilities in Thermopolis are 'aged' - but this one seems to also be it's... More

Your choice in Thermopolis if you want to use the waterslides is either Star Plunge or Hellies. We have been to Hellies before so this trip we opted to try out the Star Plunge. First off, they don't accept credit or debit cards of any kind. However, they will direct you to the convienient ATM machine that is located in... More

We visited the Star Plunge from Utah. The pools were great, my kids had a great time with the sides, high dive & many pools. Being able to come & go as you please for the day was a great plus. Just don't forget to stamp your hand. The only thing I have to complain about it the incredible sunburn... More
