Highly recommend this park. The falls are beautiful. The walk down to the falls is via several steps so you need to be able to walk up and down steps to see the falls. It is a circular path that also takes you past Kahuna Falls. Lots of water at the time we were there. more

When/if you visit the Hilo (east) side of the island there's a small State Park a bit up Muna Kea from North Side Hilo. It was a short ten minute drive from the main road. Then a less than ten minute walk to the falls. They are breathtaking and worth the visit. Very popular with tour buses and school groups. more
