We loved the wagon tour and the van ride down the Valley. The tour guides were knowledgeable about the history of the Valley and enthusiastic. We contacted the company via email and on the phone and never had a problem with communication. If you would like a old school wagon ride and honest tour, you should go with this place.... More

So this is an interesting review, because the reservation specialists I talked to were so rude that I decided not to go on the actual tour. I am not sure how great their guides are, but I felt compelled to share my experience. Here's how it went: I called on the morning of March 8th to see if they had... More

There is a nice feel on this mule-drawn carriage tour that takes you down the valley that is otherwise hard to reach. The scenery is nice, not spectacular. still worthwhile. I would compare it to "going for a tour in amish country" if you were in PA.

We stopped at the Waipio valley lookout - what a view! Unbelievable view and scenery. We took the Wagon tour ride through the valley and it was a great addition to the visit. The wagon tour was rough, but our guide (Jamie) did a great job explaining the history, culture and the flora/fauna of the area. Was a lot of... More

We have visited the Waipio Lookout in the past and this year decided to take the tour into the valley itself. It was a truly great trip. The mule wagon driver, Jamie, was an excellent tour guide and, as a lifetime resident of the valley, he was able to give us really fascinating details of the history and its people.... More

We have visited all of the islands in the past 4 years and this was the best tour we have taken. Jamie, our tour guide, is a native of the valley with a wealth of knowledge. He started sharing his experiences and knowledge as soon as we got into the 4 wheel equipped van for the drive into the valley... More

Our trip down into the Waipi'o Valley and our wagon ride through the valley was very unique and educational. Our tour guide, Jamie, a native of the valley, gave us incredible insight into the history of the valley and the Hawaiian people including his ancestors. He was an awesome tour guide and taught us so much about the valley and... More

The two guides were from the actual valley. One lived there his whole life and the other guide for 20 years. So their info and stories were great.

We took a jeep tour of Waipio Valley 25 years ago. At that time the local expert drove us all around the valley and beach, etc. Things have changed! Now, much of the property has "No Trespassing" posted and therefore the wagon tour in the valley is rather limited and basically just goes down a short road. Our guides were... More
