The double kayak was 56. for 24 hours. Just used it for a morning. If i had realized how calm the bay was, i would have done the river, had lunch and gone back out. Next time...

We just finished our almost 18 mile na pali cost kayak with Kayak Kauai. Our guide Nick Oliver was fantastic. We were a bit worried that the weather would not hold up for the tour, and while it was definitely choppy out there, we felt very safe with Nick's direction and knowledge on how to paddle through the big waves... You were on one of our first tours of the summer season! It is usually a bit more "rock and roll". Pretty classic..even with out visiting the caves. Usually It is the high light of most folks visit to the islands....but as I think you will agree..the journey is not for everyone. Thanks for sharing your kind words...will share with... More

This was our first time doing stand up paddle boarding so we took lessons here. It was tons of fun and Linden did a great job teaching us how to do it correctly. My wife stayed dry throughout the whole time. I fell in at the end... Wah Wah waaaaahhhhh.

Don't feel bad. Coming from a surf board background, I thought SUP would be a breeze. Harder than I thought. Glad Lindon was able to smooth the way. See you in the water...literally. A hui hou, Micco More

We did not go on the guided tour -- but we did rent a kayak from their Kapa'a shop. They were not very professional, even by laid-back Hawaii standards. They seemed bored, one employee spoke poorly to us about another employee, it seemed like were were a bother to them, etc. Just wasn't top-notch. I'm glad I wasn't relying on... More

Aloha "Shellking", Sorry to hear that our service was "so so". Should have been excellent. Yes...our guides are excellent....but so is most of our personnel. Thanks again for your observation. Like a hotel...we know the biggest room should be for improvement. Thanks for helping us improve. A hui hou and glad you enjoyed the river and the hike to the... More

Their on the right side of the road as you enter hanalei form the south. You put in your kayak on the hanalei river and can go south up the river into the wildlife refuge or north to the river mouth in hanalei bay. We went upriver and had a quiet paddle in the gently flowing river(no class 5's here).... More

Sounded serene. Paddling the Hanalei River and "row...row...your boat....life is but a dream", comes to mine. Micco More

Buyer Beware - We were injured while guides smoked weed and got drunk during trip. We brought a group of seven for a guided tour down the napali coast thinking this was a reputable tour operator and could not have been more disappointed. To call these people anything other than a bunch of washed up burnouts is being generous. Here... More

Having pioneered this tour and in our last 28 years successfully guided thousands along this beautiful coast, we are sorry you were not happy with our services. For the vast majority it is often the highlight of their vacation to Hawaii and over the years we have gotten mostly accolades. Perhaps you erroneously choose a tour that was more challenging... Great service; easy access to the Hanalei river and the sprawling Hanalei Beach. We rented a two person kayak for the day and headed up river first. You paddle through a beautiful valley, with lots of wildlife along the way (NeNe birds, turtles, fish). Next we paddled down to the bay. In smaller waves, you are allowed to take the... More

Sounds like you both had an idyllic day. You know the Nene went extinct and it was only from English stock that they were re- ntroduced back into the islands. They are doing remarkably well. Anyway...we don't recommend any time of the year going out into the bay unless you are are more of an accomplished paddler. Safety is no... More

My husband tells everyone this was his favorite part of the trip! We went on the Blue Lagoon Tour down the river and out into the bay to snorkel. Our guide was great - showed us exactly where the fish were and even snorkeled out with us to show us. We were actually the only ones on the tour as... More

Harley and his crew at Kayak Kaua'i provided our family with kayaks and two days worth of fun! We rented a double and two single kayaks and paddled up and down the Hanalei River. The scenery was beautiful and our two active children enjoyed the physical challenge of navigating the river. It was a real treat to travel down to... More

Thanks for taking the time to share your kind words. Harley is a classic. We have him working in the office and the field and very blessed to have him. You discovered why we do what we do. Kayaking/paddling ...is a great way to move a family. Until our wakes cross.....thanks again. Micco More

Harley and Kristen, our guides on this 5 day discover Kauai adventure showed us the best of the island and were great guides as we hiked, kayaked, swam, and saw the sites on Kauai. It was my first trip,to Hawaii and I thought would be my only(I am from the east coast and it is a very long trip!) but... More

Harley told me you were a grand group and know that he and Kristen enjoyed showing/sharing our slice of paradise. Our multi-day Discovery tour is a classic way to enjoy the island.
