Went here for a refresher course in surfing. Had learned to surf a few years back on Waikiki. Once I got out there and tried to relay what I thought I already knew, they (Mitchell) kind of scoffed at me and said "some surf lessons aren't as good as others." Ok, well then we got out on the water and... More

We were a bit worried about the rain showers, but tomorrow didn't look any better so we went ahead. Family of 6 for Stand UpPaddle Board lessons. Dad, Mom, 2 - 12 y/os, little 7 y/o and Grandma. David and Nate were great. Made everyone feel comfortable. Grandma sat and paddled the river. David towed the 7 y/o till she... More

Booked a semi private lesson with my 2 teens. They had Sena, who was once a pro surfer. She was outgoing and showed them how to balance, read the waves, etc. Both of them got up almost immediately. Hanalei Bay is a gorgeous setting and the waves were surprisingly okay this time of year. Tip: Check in early as it... More

Took a great semi private sift lesson with "Moose" of Hawaiian Surf Adventures. $75 each for the semi private and Moose was a great teacher. We both we up quickly and got numerous waves in. I definately recommend a semi or private. One of the great things about learning to surf in Hanalei Bay is that the water is shallow... More

Four of us - adults - took a standup paddle board lesson with Britt a couple of weeks ago. Started us in the river, taught us basics and then we went out into Hanalei Bay. It was a Sunday, slightly crowded but sunny and we had a ball! He gave us the skills to feel comfortable on our own for... More

If you have never surfed before this is the outfit to use. We never surfed and were able to catch a wave the first time. Kyle was an excellent instructor!!! My husband always wanted to learn and had a blast!

My 10 year old daughter and I took a beginner's lesson at Hawaiian Surfing Adventures wtih Mitchell Boy. We received excellent hands-on instruction and the dry land training was very useful. The gentle break right at the sand bank at the rivermouth made for great long waves that we could ride. My daughter really learned her technique and was soooo... More

We took a semi-private surf lesson with Hawaiian Surf Adventures for my 2 boys (ages 8 & 11), my 16 year old niece and my husband (I camped on the beach and took pictures). The surf lesson was with Robert and he was very good. He explained how to get up on the board and had everyone practice on dry... More
