We were going to Lawai to go snorkel next to the beach house restaurant and noticed we were close to spouting horn so we continued on to see this wonder of mother nature. I could have stayed for hours watching it shoot water up in the air but my fiancee was done after about 10-15 minutes. I just love watching... more
The vendors here set up pretty early and there's some good choices for inexpensive gifts, lots of jewelry and local handmade crafts. And there's junk too. Great deals right now on handmade Bali baskets! more
Definitely make a quick stop at Spouting Horn. You will probably want to check out the famous Poipu Beach nearby, so go on down to spouting horn - it is pretty cool. Try to catch it at high tide - that is when the spouts are the best. Also, there is a small group of vendors that are there daily... more
Worth a stop for a photo op. The marina/park just to the east is a great place to catch a sunset. more
Spouting Horn is interesting itself, but what I found more interesting was the waters around Spouting Horn. Each time I was there I saw large Sea Turtles. There are also, merchants there selling their wares, like neckless and ear rings, and lots of other stuff. This is a nice place to stop. you won't send a lot of time here. more
we went driving from our hotel and ended up here about 10mins from poipu, cool to see the spot, for like 10 mins then moved on. great views of the area more
The blowhole isn't really all that exciting, but maybe that was because I've seen many others and I could actually walk up to them. But, it's worth stopping off. What makes it worthwhile is that it is an excellent spot from which to spot whales during whale season. We spotted four! That made it all worthwhile. more
It was ok. Easy to get to from Poipu. A good thing to do on my first day or make a side trip to. But wouldn't spend all day trying to get here. more
This is worth a quick stop if you are in the Poipu Beach area. We took some great shots of the shore and the Spouting Horn in action. Also observed a pair of monk seals frolicking in the water beside the Spouting Horn. more
I have been to Kauai many times, and we always make a stop at Spouting Horn. The actual spout is worth a look, but not worth a trip if you are not in the area. But, there are tents set up by the parking lot that are possibly some of the best deals on the island. You can buy anything... more
