Kauai Lagoons is undergoing some massive construction and some substantial golf course renovation. I played there last week (March 3, 2009). I understand that the back nine (not open due to renovation) on KIELE is what you pay to play for. The current course configuration has one play the back nine of their MOKIHANA course (less interesting and challenging) and... more

I was able to play golf 3 times while in Kauai and by far the best golf for the $$$ was at the Wailua Municipal Course. Puakea was nice and I would rate the Lagoons course as a distant 3rd. The course is not worth the money especially now that the ocean nine is not available to play. Skip this... more

The Kiehle golf course was great, now that the ocean 9 holes are under construction for homes and condos don't bother! The Mokihana is at best an average course, not worth the $. more

0ne of the best experiences in kauai for me was to play this beautiful golf course.Too bad the part of the course that has all the ocean views was closed ,due to renovation work.The course is fairly easy even for mid to high handicappers,except for two holes that requiers a long tee shot over a plant covered ravine.Service was excellent... more

Mokihana Course at Kauai Lagoons Golf Resort did not measure up. Course itself generally OK except for extreme jet engine noise from adjacent int'l airport. Amenities left us wanting -- no cooler with water on cart -- had to "rent" cooler for $10 and buy own water, then get $10 back when turning in cooler after round. Some carts did... more
