The drive up the canyon is very windy, but it's worth it. There are 5 or 6 lookouts from which you can get some great pictures. I attached a few of ours, but it was a little hazy that day. more

Waimea Canyon is amazing to put it simply. I wouldn't recommend the drive from Kekaha (Kokee Rd. Highway 552) as it seems really long, is very winding and not nearly as scenic as the Waimea Canyon Drive (Highway 550) from Waimea. The first overlook is wonderful.
