People say "free" museum and we usually assume it is a few items and a sign, basically not worth your time. But... the Whalers Village Museum is awesome. We spent way more than 20 minutes going through it. They have an audio tour, pictures, tons of items including spears, clothing, scrimshaw, etc. It was very educational and we truly enjoyed... more

It is free and very educational. Conveniently located on top floor of Whalers Village shopping plaza. A good spot to learn something new amongst the sea of retail stores. There is a room to watch video on the whales. Takes about 20 minutes to read through all the displays. Learned a lot about the whaling industry. It doesn't take much... more

Good excuse to get my husband to this Mall like environment and really a great little museum about whaling in Hawaii. Best of all was the price...free! Donations appreciated. We hit a few museums while in Maui and my husband appreciated this one most of all... more

This outdoor mall has a lot of nice shops. It is located right in the middle of many hotels and is at oceanfront. There is 3-hr free parking with store validation.The whaler's museum was very interesting. Spent about 45 minutes walking around reading all the signs next to the displays.
