My wife and I booked a surf lesson with Zack Howard and it was great. He had all the gear we needed for our session and the spot he takes you to is easy to find. My wife and I had been surfing before a few years ago and thought we should maybe take a lesson for our trip here... More

Just got back from Maui! Zach and his assistant Kyle had all 3 of my kids riding waves! They were very good with the kids and very attentive. After that morning, one of my sons was hooked and surfed with his dad 2 more times during our trip. Highly recommend Zach.

We met Zach..super nice guy, but it was Kyle who took the whole family out..me, husband, and 9 yr old twin boys. They provided boards and rash shirts, of course. My boys and I have never surfed before. To my astonishment, we all were able to surf after a brief but detailed lesson on the beach. In fact, my boys... More

My 19 year old daughter and I signed up for a lesson with Zack Howard. It was the first time either of us had attempted to surf. I am 50 years old with bad knees. Our session was a Puamana Beach, south of Lahaina. Enough small waves to challenge us but nothing too hard. Zack was awesome -- explained everything,... More

We just got back from a surf lesson with Kyle one of the instructers from Zack Howard Surf. What can I say........it was simply an amazing experience and I would urge anyone looking to book surfing lessons to go with these guys. Our instructor Kyle was brilliant!! He inspired confidence in us to just get up and ride the waves.... More

I went to Maui hoping to do a little surfing, but didn't want to go out alone. I ran across Zack's review on TripAdvisor and thought I would give him a call. Zack answered the phone (he handles his clients personally) and we set up a lesson. The first day we went to a beautiful spot near Lahaina where the... More

We booked a semi private lesson (2) one morning to try surfing for the first time. We spent about 5-10 minutes on the beach going over the basics and then hit the water. The waves where small this day but big enough to get us moving. We paddled out I and caught a wave and was able to get up... More

Zack is a professional surfer, and excellent instructor. We met him for lessons in Lahaina, both my 5 year old son and I (41 yr old mom) took lessons together. I am not sure which is the greater testimony to Zack's talent as an instructor, my five year old getting up on his board or me getting up on my... More

This was the highlight of our trip! Zack came recommended from the hotel that we were staying in and glad that they did. It's was cool to know that you are learning from a professional! We were a group of 4 adults and 1 child. He was very patient with everyone and we all were able to get up and... More

Zack was great and really entertaining!! Neither of us had ever been surfing before and we were both able to get up and surf with just a few tries! We highly recommend him!
