I would recommend this as a nice tropical garden to walk through, but don't pay the money for the tram. We didn't take the tram ride. My wife and I went to the Maui Tropical Plantation because we had purchased a Maui Value Pass and admission was included. They have a shop you can walk around in, but it would've been $14/ea to take the tour. Our tour guide was great, and very funny. She really made the experience enjoyable. This was by far the worst activity we did during our 10 days in Maui. There is very little to see and your time would be better spent elsewhere. more

We decided to take the tour, and I was able to get a kamaaina discount for Hawaii id holders, so that the tour was $5 instead of $11. My daughter had her wedding at the Maui Tropical Plantation. It was a beautiful wedding site and the pictures turned out beautifully. We also made arraignments with the photographer to have beach photos as well. Would reccommend this for nice gardens to go to as well as wedding site. more
