As the previous reviewer noted, this was established by Father Damien of leper colony fame. It is a charming tiny church which will remind you of similar miniature churches in the US and Canadian mainland (the though these tend to be Protestant). Not a lot to see, but worth a stop. more
We stopped for 15 minutes at the St. Joseph Church as part of the Alii Guided Tour purchased from the ferry boat, Maui Princess. It's about 10 minutes from the Hotel Molokai, or 15 minutes from the Kaunakakai Harbor. There is a life size statue of Fr. Damien next to the church.
