Several guidebooks described these grounds in a positive way. Too bad Senator Fong is no longer around. For $14.50 per adult the guided tour was very haphazard and the grounds are in desperate need of many more hands to care for them. I would not recommend this attraction.

I went to Senator Fong's Plantation and Gardens expecting to be able to tour garden by myself, but they only have guided tours at certain times of the day. We had already missed the first tour of the day and did not feel like waiting for the other (So make sure you arrive at the correct time for a tour)...

I'm so glad I decided to stop here, as I had a wonderful private tour. It is located in Kaneohe with the Ko'olau Mountains in the background. They conduct walking tours twice per day. I arrived in time for the 10:30am tour and I was the only person. I was given a choice-- we could do the traditional 1 mile...
