But the biggest magnet is Ko Olina Resort with its glorious coves for swimming and sunning. Ko Olina’s newest addition is Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa that sidesteps typical Disney fantasy and focuses on celebrating the reality of Hawaiian culture, history and traditions. With the help of Mickey, Minnie and the gang decked out in aloha attire, the resort has a fun vibe that never lets you lose sight that it’s all about the Hawaiian Islands. At Ko Olina, you’ll also find two of Oahu’s most popular luaus at Germaine’s and Paradise Cove, plus a selection of ocean excursions departing the resort’s marina. « less

Beautiful and safe, I swam laps like it was a pool and than floated on my back.

Although the "coves of Ko`olina" are only about 10 miles from my home, it can feel like I've taken a day trip to a land far, far away -- once I'm there! A few miles west of the 2nd City of Kapolei and past the coastal eye sore (but much needed)--Campbell Industrial Park-- sits pristine Ko`lina -- with its golf... More

The lagoons are very calm and peaceful, nice scenery. Not much else. They're all fairly small, although when I was there they weren't crowded, which helped.

Poor parking, public parking limited to a few space at each location except #4. I only visited Lagoon #1, next to the JW Marriott. The beach is well kepted, and you can see a variety of fishs near the entry- exit outlet of the lagoon. The rock formation is not interesting, and the clarity of the water is not great.... More

Seriously the best place to swim while watching the sunset, It is in a very low populated area and water is always welcoming.

I have been to the lagoons many times. The kids (6 and 16) love it there. It would get boring quick if we didn't take the kids. The lagoons are man made and fed by the ocean, with big rocks at the openings so big waves can't enter. The water can get stagnate and sometimes kinda dirty. Ko Olina is... More

These lagoons are lovely, clean, and calm. If you have kids at the beach, you can feel safe here...

If you want to hang out at beautiful beaches and experience clean clam waters this is the place to be. There are 4 lagoons that belong to the four resorts in the area. Each lagoon as it's own public parking lot which only holds roughly 10-20 vehicles (to cut down on public access and use) so its first come first... More

The lagoons are all very clean, although somewhat crowded at times. The water is crystal clear and offers GREAT snorkeling if you swim out to the rocks. If you're relaxing at Lagoon 3, be sure to visit Longboards for a drink or lunch. You won't regret it.
