If you'd like an Eco-Friendly sealife tour tailored to your requests...this is the tour for you. The Best of the West had a wonderfully small tour size of only 6 guests on a boat that could hold many more. The group collectively decided what the sealife priorities were for viewing (in our case dolphins! dolphins! ...then whales, then honu, then... more

We went on the Best of the West tour and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Oahu. Within minutes of leaving the harbor we came across a pod of spinner dolphins and shortly thereafter we were in the water with them. Later, we swam with sea turtles and spent time with pods of spotted dolphins and... more

Though we usually do stay out for 3+ hours, this particular day we had to get back to meet the "fuel truck" at the pier. We were at his mercy. Granted we were racing back in, we kept running into more animals. He forgot to add the (rare elsewhere) rough-toothed dolphins encounter to the list in the review above above....

This trip was incredible. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentative. Wish we could have stayed out all day. We did several activities while in Hawaii and I have traveled a variety of places. Can't think of any experience that will top this one! more

We really enjoyed the Best of the West tour that we took in mid-November. The guides were very knowledgeable, safety concious and respectful of sea life. We were thrilled to see the first humpback whale of the season, and swimming with the dolphins and sea turtles was amazing. The guides made sure everyone got the most from the experience. They... more

We took the Morning Wildlife Cruise with Wild Side on November 1, 2009. We had a great time. We were a party of 6 (Parents, 2 kids and Grandparents). Our crew was fantastic - great with the kids, very knowledgeable about the area as well as the marine life we would encounter. The dolphins were moving too fast that day... more

Swimming with dolphins has always been a dream! But swimming with them in the wild, looking at them playing in there own environment, and most of all, hearing them ''sing'' under the water exceeded my expectations! It also feels very good to know that part of the price we paid goes directly to the research and conservation of those great... more

We had the most amazing time! The staff was very knowledgable and answered all our questions. We saw spinner dolphins and spotted dolphins, both of which swam along the boat. We were able to have a quick swim with the spinner dolphins before they moved on. We also swam near the reef where the turtles were and had a wonderful... more

tori & melisa were the best - very informative since they are marine biologists. right out of the harbor they put us in the middle of around 100 dolphins. what an experience!! words cannot express the excitement i felt. unfortunately it was a little too early in the season to see the whales on our trip, however the group that... more

very knowledgable and friendly staff, highly recommended, we swam with spinner dolphins, turtles, and got up close with spotted dolphins. Tres cool! Tori, Melissa, and Fitz were great. Very highly recommended. Very comfortable, non pushy atmosphere. my wife is not a water person and she loved it. more

The excursion was one of the best experiences I've had in a very long time. The captain and tour head were friendly and fun. Their approach to the marine life and ecosystem was refreshingly respectful. We got multiple oppurtunities to swim along side the dophin pods, oberserve them, and listen to their sonar. Then we went to the reef to... more
