We skipped the tour and decided on the wine and beer tasting. The beer was a little boring aswas had already samples the beer at local spots. The wine was interesting. The fruit wines were absolutely the highlight. Cranberty was my favorite.

The Atlantic Brewing Company has some of the best beers even if you are not a huge beer fan. The Blueberry is not sweet like many other fruit beers, it is just refreshing. You can eat a casual meal outside and down it with beer from their own brewery on the premises. Take the friendly free tour which ends up with a wine tasting and, of course, an opportunity to purchase in their quaint shop. Glasses with names of their beers make nice souvenirs. We've done both the tastings in town and the full tour at the brewery and enjoyed both. The last visit we had a small lunch at the brewery in their outdoor seating area and it made for a nice relaxing afternoon after some hard paddling in the north bay.

The tour of the brewery is interesting, but better yet you can have great BBQ and drink beer next to the brewery.

Went on this tour over Columbus Day Weekend. Good tour, got to see the brewing facilities, and sampled the beers at the end. We decided to do something else for lunch, although the Brewery offers a BBQ for a price that looked to be pretty good, so that's always an option. I took home some of the Mount Desert Island...

We're really sorry you felt forced into the tour. Before the tours begin for the day, we instruct our guides to offer individual tastings. My friends and i went here on an early Sunday morning. When we pulled up we thought it was closed as it was only 11:00 a.m. but we wanted so badly to fit this into our schedule. Much to our surprise it was opened! The owner welcomed us in and asked if we wanted "The Tour" we said sure...... Well...
