This isn't a bar or a restaurant that makes its own beer. This is a real, operating small beer factory that offers tours. I used to work in the neighborhood but I never saw it until a friend took me there. Once inside, I was amazed. It was founded in the 1800's and then was restored in the 1970's by... More

Great, informative tour. Lots of really good beer to sample! Well worth the hour spent. Located a ways from the main tourist hub, but it's only about a 15-minute drive.

Although our tour guide was a little over rambunctious and made a few mistakes about the brewing process (I am in the industry), the brewery itself is pretty amazing and definitely a must see if you like craft beers. We even got to stand and have a beer with the head brewer, which was impressive, and he was a great... More

Friendly knowledgeable staff served excellent free beer--as much as we wanted. What more can I say? Fantastic!

What a great tour. Had to book from Australia to get in, it is so popular. What a great experience.

We had an excellent time on the tour and enjoyed the generous samples of their brews. Our guide was fun although a fast talker but it was great to explore the brewery and learn about the history. It was challenging to find parking as there is only street parking around there. We parked a couple steep blocks away, not a... More

Not much of a tour, and you can't actually buy a glass of beer there either. Staff was unfriendly.

My boyfriend really wanted to visit this brewery on our recent trip to San Francisco. Even though I'm not a beer-drinker I thought this was a very interesting tour and enjoyed it very much. Our guide (wish I could remember his name) was very enthusiastic, knowledgable and had an obvious love for the brewery. After a history of the company,... More
