I ride a bike for fun. It is best to get out of the city to ease traffic congestion if you want to pedal and go fast. The Marin Headlands are easily accessible by crossing the landmark Golden Gate Bridge (happy 75th b-day!!). A quite challenging steep climb initially awaits you, which then levels off. if you like to get a great view of the Golden gate Bridge as well as the Bay-take a walk right there. close to the Marina, so can can end up in a bvery nice place to eat afterwards

If you're an outdoorsy type, don't miss this one! We stayed near Union Square, took a Muni bus to the Golden Gate, walked acroos and under the bridge and started hiking. Consider this if you're doing Sausalito; it's so close. And it's best if done the first weekend when volunteers do a real tour of the bunker in-ground area that is not available otherwise. Unique terrain with WWII prep for attack.

Take a drive across the Majestic Golden Gate Bridge and see the beauty of nature. Beautiful forest and see meet in a perfect place. It's beautiful!

I should thank ayfang for taking me there, its beatiful place and beautiful view point... its a very good place to have family picnic... we went till the light house. That is the last man operated light house in the US.
