An historic site and a pleasant site but hardly worth the trip.

Not as much to see and do as other sites like Union Square.

There is not really too much to do along this street, but it's a nice walk. It's right along the water and a nice way to get to Fisherman's Wharf if you have the time to stroll there.

Also pleasant to walk along the Embarcadero. Don't miss the public pathway next to the water and away from the traffic starting near the Ferry Building.

It's great for people watching, there's tourists from all over the world. European men have amazing jeans. There's lawns and shopping and great views of both bridges, the bays, and many docked ships of all sorts. A wonderful stroll by the Bay.

I work near by, so walking along the Embarcadero is a daily thing at times. The weekends offer the best experiece with food vendors, farmers markets and slow walks along the pier. Perfect! during the week, its a faster pace as the lunch-time goers are not in the mood for your lolly-gagging about in the Ferry Building. Save it for... More

One of our favorite runs: from whatever hotel we're staying at in the Union Square area, down Market St to the Ferry Buildling, up the Embarcadero through Fisherman's Wharf to the end of the jetty in front of the Maritime Museum, and back. Great views of the bridges, Alcatraz, the bay, Coif Tower, the city skyline, etc.

This first paragraph is about a fast way to see part of the Embarcadero, in the Fisherman's Wharf area, without expending too many calories (though the many dining establishments and other food acquisition opportunities in this area do give you a chance to refuel anyway), and you don't have to read further than this paragraph if this sounds like the... I guess I can write a review about the EMB even though we live here! This is the spot where my wife and I walk our Pugs on the weekend! I can't say enough..I love it. The smell of saltwater from the water on one side with the city skyline on the other side...it's a concrete jungle paradise! If you... More
