The iconic structure and the mix of interesting houses around the edges makes the small park a fanciful spot to rest on your busy tour of the city or eat a picnic of goodies you picked up at the farmers market.

I had last seen this area when I was visiting family 30 years ago, it was impressive on a December day then and even nicer on a spring April Day now. It's a lovely serene setting w/ the Palace of Fine Arts structures to admire and also to enjoy the birds/ turtles nearby. Very pretty and worth a stop, especially...

this is a great place to see awesome architecture, and just chill and watch the ducks and geese meander in the pond..
The grounds are so picturesque. We enjoyed our stroll around the gardens while looking up at the architecture. Pretty lakeside area, great housing nearby as well.

This is a beautiful location to walk around. It is pretty small overall, but it's very peaceful.

A lovely little park with an amazing big piece of architecture to goggle at. The lake is pretty and there's always lots of people around to stare at.
Another great park with a history, although it is not the original structure. It is a beautiful place to visit. However if you are short on time, just drive by as there are many great places in this city to enjoy the outdoors. Still a very cool structure to photograph.
Visit this gorgous site at night when the lights make the builidng even more breathtaking that it already is. Not something to miss and very close to Chestnut Street, so grab dinner on Chestnut and continue after when it is dark, to the Palace of Fine Arts.
