Located in Japantown, San Francisico, Kabuki is a low-key medium-sized spa that offers an authentic Japanese spa experience. (Expect the massages are not as painful as ones I've had in Japan :) The communal bathing area is the key to the experience. They alternate days of opening it for either men or women. You can get a massage even if... More

I went to the Kabuki Springs and Spa on a Friday afternoon when the communal baths are women only. Nice Japanese style decor and professional staff. Very busy for a Friday. Locker rooms are quite cramped with so many people. The sitting area which is right next to the lockers is also quite small. -So on a busy day, you... More

Kabuki Springs and Spa offers massages, steam room, sauna and a wonderful communal hot tub and cold plunge. For those who want something more private, you can request a private tub with massage. I like to spend hours in this sanctuary-type setting...I soak in the hot tub and release all the tension from my body. The massage therapist are great!... More

I was excited to learn about Kabuki Springs Spa. But the actual experience was lacking. No, this is not a retribution. The staff was polite and welcoming. The entrance is nicely decorated, clean, and spunky. Bamboo trees and bamboo wood decorated surfaces. So far so good. Locker room is cramped and basic. It goes downhill from there. The main spa... I love coming here to relax. I enjoy the warm jacuzzi, the steam room, and sauna. The place is very clean and respectable.

East meets West at this place! It was guy day a the hot & cold tubs, sauna and steam room. It was nice and had the feeling of a Japan onsen, but with white people :) I was just in Tokyo in June, so I had a comparison in my mind. The message was above average and everyone there was... More

This place is so worth it. If you're looking to wind down and relax this is the place to do it. The communal bath is very clean and quiet and the massage treatment I got was one of the best massages I've ever had. Highly recommend this place!

wanted to have a spa experience in San Francisco (my first spa experience, in fact). I needed this after a hectic few weeks, and a very long conference. I sifted through websites and finalized this, I have to admit, based on its affordability ( I used to believe spas are synomymous with "rip-off"), and proximity to where I was staying.... More

I love this spa so tranquil, clean, modern, and relaxing. My sister and I visited numerous times and always had an exceptional experience.
