Enjoy the indoor limestone labyrinth or the outdoor terrazzo labyrinth. Take a break from frantic touring for a meditative journey within.

While Grace Cathedral is a beautiful building, it is not so exceptional as world churches go, even the labyrinth.

It is lovely to walk up the hill to this wonderful Cathedral and once inside to sit and enjoy the ambience or meditate and pray. If these are not your thing just to walk Labyrinth .There is one inside and also another outside.

We went here to visit this beautiful cathedral which was built in the style of Notre Dame. The true beauty is within its walls where the stained glass windows are some of the best I've seen outside of Europe. Also, there is a Labyrinth that is a copy of the one in Chartres Cathedral in France. Remove your shoes, and... More

Grace Catheral is located on Nob Hill which is a highend site near highend hotels. It is eaisly reached by Cable Car and certainly worth a visit but best if there is an actual church service or musical event. When I first vsited Florence Italy I ran to see the Babistry Doors in the Dumo. They were gone. Apparently these... More

I'm not a religious person, but every time I enter this cathedral I'm taken aback and in a sense wish I was religious. It's a great place for photography and for solitude. It's not very busy as other huge Cathedrals such as St. Patrick's in NYC, and you may oftentimes find yourself alone or with 5 or 6 other people... More

OK, I am biased. I am Episcopalian and grew up in a smaller version of Grace Cathedral. I live here in SF and I was also recently married at Grace Cathedral. It was an unbelievably exciting and spiritual experience to walk down that aisle. Grace is the 3 rd largest cathedral in the US. It has a school attached to... More

The church has incredible architecture exterior and interior. It is truly a great place to visit and contemplate. As an Episcopalian, I wish we could have attended for worship. It is a European Cathedral on the West Coast. The interior has beautiful murals depicting this history of the area and significant dates for the church. However, for me there were... More

This is such a lovely stop. It is a quiet and sacred spot. If you have the time attend Sunday Mass. Really you will love it.
