From Rembrandt to Monet with a nice collection of Rodin sculptures. The museum takes you away offering excellent pieces from many periods. The cafe is elegant.

I have loved this museum ever since I was a little girl. The architecture is still gorgeous, they haven't turned it into a "modern monstrosity" like the De Young in San Francisco. Great permanent collection of art that is focused on historical and renaissance art. There is very little if any modern art here in the permanent collection but some of the rotating exhibits might be more modern. Also the view from here is great on a sunny day, so bring a picnic and enjoy.
